The Pedigree
The Sire
One of the last Exceed And Excel’s available from his second-last crop, this colt represents the legacy of a breed-shaping, dual-hemisphere Champion stallion.
We’ve enjoyed great success with his progeny, notably This’llbetheone, a sound and consistent performer with over $325,000 in earnings and five wins since joining our stable.
Celerity, another standout by Exceed And Excel, has also flown the flag with stakes form and a brilliant maiden win in June.
The Dam
This colt is out of a multiple Metropolitan-winning mare who earned over $433,000 on the track and ran a close fourth in the Group 2 BRC The Roses.
He hails from a proven black-type family that includes Group 2 winner and Group 1 Australian Derby placegetter Super Oasis, as well as Champion 3YO Filly El Patroness, adding depth and quality to an already impressive pedigree.
Get To Know This Horse
Physical Notes
Physically, he presents as the type of colt who could well be back in Sydney next year targeting the $2 million Inglis Millennium. He’s showing all the right signs in his early work — sharp, forward and keen to get on with his work — very much shaping as a natural early runner.
Progress Notes
Now into his third preparation, this colt has already ticked off key early milestones, including even-time galloping and barrier education, progressing with confidence at every stage.
A natural, enthusiastic type, he’s a keen worker. True to his Exceed And Excel lineage, he’s strong, forward and bursting with energy — a real bull at a gate.
