Race Record
Thunderlips arrives in Queensland with one of the strongest form profiles of any recent addition to the stable.
A dual Listed placegetter, including a runner-up finish in the Listed Carrington Stakes and third in the Listed Canberra Guineas, he has already demonstrated his ability to perform at black-type level.
A versatile galloper, Thunderlips has been successful from 1000 metres through to 1500 metres, with the majority of his victories coming at the competitive 1400-metre range. His record reflects a horse that has thrived in Benchmark 78, 88 and 94 company in Sydney, regularly matching motors with some of the state's strongest metropolitan performers.
His toughness, tactical speed and consistency have been key features throughout his career.

JBR Analysis
Thunderlips is exceptionally well placed to continue his career in Queensland. His proven metropolitan form, Saturday-class ability and genuine competitiveness give him all the attributes to be a valuable addition to the stable and we're excited to see what he can achieve in the Sunshine State. He can race in a Class 6 on a Saturday and will be competitive in these types of races.
Progress Notes
He will be transported from NSW to Queensland on August 6th, arriving at Hinterland Thoroughbreds. He can have a freshen up while we let him settle in before making race plans moving forward.
Video
Watch Thunderlips running second in the Listed Carrington Stakes earlier this year.
It was a handy field of Saturday/Open grade sprinters including Green Fly, who went on to win the Listed National Sprint, and War Eternal, who strung three together over the Winter Carnival while staying with JBR.
